I had a very positive experience with Homeup when selling my apartment in Amsterdam, and subsequently buying a new one. The sales process went smoothly, and I received a fair price for my apartment. Homeup organized everything perfectly. Sake from Homeup was exceptionally professional and showed great dedication. He was active and proactive throughout the sales process, ensuring everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Homeup to anyone looking for a smooth sales experience when selling their apartment.
I had a wonderful experience with Sake, the seller's real estate agent! Communication was quick and easy, and he was always enthusiastic and friendly. He was available for all the tips and questions I had as a first-time buyer. A great first experience in the housing market!
I worked with Sake to buy my first apartment here in Almere. I think it was a very smooth process for me because everything was so well organized. Sake is a fantastic real estate agent and I highly recommend him, especially to first-time buyers.
We were fortunate to meet Sake during our house search. From day one, he was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions (and we had a lot!) and communicating clearly. Their service was excellent, from the house search to signing the contract, he was by our side every step of the way. Once we found our dream home, he took the initiative to negotiate the price, which was crucial in our process. Without him, we probably wouldn't have had the house we loved so much. Their knowledge of the Dutch real estate market is impressive, which was essential for us as expats. He reviewed all the documents and answered all our questions, making us feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. We felt guided and supported throughout the entire process and would highly recommend his services to anyone who wants to realize their dream of buying a home in the Netherlands!
Thanks to Sake for helping us find our apartment. His market knowledge and patience allowed us to navigate the process with confidence. When we finally found the right apartment, Sake negotiated with the owner to get the best possible deal. Communication was always friendly, and the process went smoothly thanks to his approach and responsiveness. Moreover, HomeUp's rates are more than reasonable, considering the amount of work involved. Thank you for your support throughout the entire process, right up to the final signing at the notary last week!
We bought our house with Sake's help. It couldn't have gone faster. We met him in the morning, had a viewing in the afternoon, made an offer, and it was accepted the next day. Sake made the process seamless. He helped us every step of the way and took care of everything (he connected us with a mortgage advisor, a building survey, a notary, etc.). Absolutely worth the investment. Highly recommended! Oh, and at the end, he gave us a bottle of champagne and a handy checklist with the next steps after the keys were handed over.
Thanks to Sake's quick response, we were able to buy our dream house after just the second offer. As first-time buyers, there were many things we weren't entirely sure about, but Sake took the time to fully guide us through the process. That gave us a sense of trust and reassurance. Thanks, Sake!
Great experience. I spent almost eight months looking for an apartment before Nobel Hypotheken recommended Sake from HomeUp, and the purchase process was resolved quite quickly afterward. I'd always thought hiring a real estate agent wasn't necessary and that I could just do it myself, but having a professional handle the negotiations and purchase had a significant and very positive impact on the final price.
When we were told that we had to leave our (sub)rented home within a short period of time and that there was nothing affordable to be found in the rental market, panic really set in. The fear of ending up on the street together with our seven dogs was very real, and our intensive search kept leading nowhere, time and time again.
At some point, I responded to a rental property offered by HoMeUp, and for the first time I was called back by the real estate agent within a short time. I honestly explained that we had several dogs, that we were being turned down everywhere, and that I was close to despair. Billy turned out to be a rock in the surf. Whenever I lost hope, he reassured me with the words that we really would manage to find something in time for us—although he was also honest in saying that it would be a challenge.
In the end, it didn’t become a rental home but a house to buy, exactly in the neighborhood where we so dearly wanted to stay. Thanks to Billy Brouwer from HoMeUp and his mortgage advisor Louis Collignon, we now have a wonderful home, despite our fairly limited budget and our pack of dogs. We were a challenge—that’s for sure—but one that Billy and Louis took on with great enthusiasm. To me, they have proven that miracles do still exist.
The race against the clock caused us enormous stress, but even though we didn’t really fit HoMeUp’s usual target audience, Billy and Louis did everything they could to help us. I will be forever grateful and will recommend you to anyone who is searching just as desperately as we were.
Thank you both so much, especially for your moral support and approachability. I was able to trust you completely. Thank you.

Frequently asked questions about legal advice when buying a property
Do you have legal questions when buying a house? Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions. We help you to clear all your doubts and uncertainties!
A purchase agreement is a legal document that sets out the agreements between the buyer and seller of a home. It is important because it protects the rights and obligations of both parties.
Easements are rights that someone has on another person's plot. Consider, for example, the right of way. They can influence the sale of your home because they pass to the new owner.
A resolutive condition is a condition in the purchase agreement that gives the buyer the right to terminate the agreement. This can be the case, for example, if the buyer does not complete the financing.
The cooling-off period is the period during which the buyer can terminate the purchase agreement without giving reasons. This period is legally set at three days after receiving the purchase agreement.
At the notary, the purchase agreement is converted into a notarial deed. This deed is registered in the Land Registry, making the transfer of ownership official.
